This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, supporting field operations, and driving a proactive safety culture across multiple job sites.
The ideal candidate brings a strong field presence, practical construction safety experience, and the ability to influence safe behaviors at all levels of the organization.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and maintains a dotted-line relationship with the Safety Director to ensure alignment with company-wide safety strategy, standards, and compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct regular job site visits to monitor safety compliance and identify hazards
· Serve as the first point of contact for safety-related issues, incidents, and investigations
· Lead and support incident investigations, including documentation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
· Collect, track, and analyze safety data and trends
· Maintain and manage safety documentation and reporting within internal systems (Safety HQ portal)
· Develop, update, and implement safety policies, procedures, and forms
· Deliver safety training programs and support ongoing field education
· Facilitate monthly safety meetings and support toolbox talks
· Partner with field leadership to proactively address safety concerns and reinforce safe work practices
· Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Authority and Accountability
· Authority to stop work when unsafe conditions or behaviors are identified
· Authority to require corrective actions from employees, field leadership, and subcontractors
Additional Responsibilities
· Participate in internal and external safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
· Support regulatory compliance activities, including preparation for and response to OSHA inspections and inquiries
· Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of corrective and preventive action plans
· Maintain accurate, complete, and timely safety records in accordance with company policy and applicable regulatory requirements
· Support pre-job planning activities, including Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and site-specific safety plans
· Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with company safety standards and contractual requirements
· Monitor adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and safe work practices across all job sites
· Assist in incident management processes, including return-to-work coordination and follow-up actions as needed
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance and reduce risk
· Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred
· Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant construction experience will be considered
· 3–5 years of construction safety experience required; electrical construction preferred
· Experience supporting large-scale or multi-site construction projects is a plus
Certifications
· OSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
· CHST and/or ASP certification preferred or ability to obtain within 12–18 months of hire
· Additional certifications such as CSP, CUSP, CIH, or CHMM are a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
· Field-based position with regular exposure to active construction environments
· Frequent walking of job sites, including uneven terrain and active work zones
· Ability to climb ladders and navigate construction areas safely
· Ability to work in varying weather conditions
· Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed
Travel Requirements
· Frequent local travel to job sites
· Approximately 15% regional travel as needed
· Company vehicle provided for business use

· Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
· Must pass pre-employment background check and applicable screenings
