As a Tax Manager, you'll be a key player on our team, using your tax expertise to help a diverse range of clients. You'll stay on top of the latest tax regulations and economic trends, making smart decisions that impact our clients' businesses. Your role will mix technical tax tasks, team supervision, and client interaction.

What You'll Do

 

· Be the go-to tax expert for our team, helping with complex technical questions.

· Review and provide feedback on tax returns prepared by staff.

· Plan and manage projects to ensure smooth operations.

· Conduct in-depth tax research and come up with innovative solutions.

· Prepare tax projections and plans for our more complex clients, and maintain ongoing communication as their primary contact.

· Display ability to identify and properly address technical issues/areas in assigned engagements.

· Supervise and mentor staff, senior accountants and supervisors, providing constructive feedback.

· Monitor progress of work in relationship to budgeted hours for assignment and scheduled dates of completion.

· Prepare bills for approval by Partner in Charge.

· Keep partners informed of important developments, major or potential problems and recommend solutions.

· Act as primary contact for various clients

· Spot opportunities to offer additional services to clients.

· Keep up with tax developments and help implement changes, communicate these changes to the firm.

· Participate in firm-wide projects and administrative tasks.

Requirements:

What You Bring

· Bachelor's or advanced degree in accounting or CPA certification.

· At least 1-2 years of experience as a supervisor or equivalent.

· Membership in AICPA and NCACPA, if applicable.

· Proficient tax and other firm-related software.

· Strong time management and organizational skills.

· Shows initiative, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

· Valid driver's license and good driving record.

· Willingness to travel as needed.

Physical & Practical Details

· Typing/Keying for 5-6 hours a day.

· Willing to travel as needed for team/client needs.
