Advance your education and career with our tuition assistance programShift Differential - You'll earn an additional 10% on top of your regular hourly wage for eligible shifts1st Shift - 6:30 AM - 3:00 PMPosition OverviewCoordinates all activities required to effectively lay out work, set-up appropriate machines or equipment to meet or exceed fabrication, assembly, and customer requirements per design specifications and published schedules. Efficiently utilizes resources to minimize scrap, materials, and labor.ResponsibilitiesCapable of machining experimental configurations per specifications supplied by management in a timely fashionWorking knowledge and or training/education of vertical Milling machines (Manual & CNC), engine lathes, vertical band sawWorks with management to provide data on blueprint, bill of material, set-up sheet, or routing errors related to design issues to facilitate engineering updatesWorks with minimal supervision to accurately accomplish any given taskAssists others as requiredRequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.2 year certificate from a technical school or an accredited journeyman program; and a preferred 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend all forms of written and/or verbal instructionsAbility to write simple correspondenceEffectively able to present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors, and other employees of the organizationAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, angles, and volumeKnowledge of basic concepts of geometryAbility to apply a common sense approach and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
