Medical Receptionist

The medical receptionist supports a busy outpatient office in Queens by helping patients check in, update records, and move through their visits efficiently. This role typically answers phones, schedules and confirms appointments, collects basic demographic and insurance information, and routes messages to clinical staff as needed. The position may also involve maintaining reception-area organization, processing forms, verifying paperwork for completeness, and handling general front-desk coordination with professionalism and discretion. Strong communication, accurate data entry, and familiarity with common office systems are important, along with the ability to remain calm when assisting multiple patients at once. Candidates should have prior customer service or medical office experience, basic computer skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of medical terminology or insurance procedures is helpful. The work is primarily seated with regular use of a computer, phone, and standard office equipment. The schedule is full time and may include set weekday hours consistent with office operations.
