JOB SUMMARY: Provides direct patient care on the Maternal Child Health Unit through assessments and individualized patient care. Communicates changes related to the patient's clinical status with provider. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in the patient's condition or responses to treatment. Performs general nursing duties with adequate supervision.QUALIFICATIONS:Licensed to practice in the state of OklahomaCurrent CPR card or completion within 30 days of employmentCurrent ACLS and NRP card or completion of course within 1 year of hireAbility to communicate effectively and function appropriately in stressful situationsPossesses basic computer skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking, standing, and dealing with stressful situationsDemonstrates adequate vision or correctable with glasses to read and writeAble to hear, or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk to converse with others in person and over the phoneAble to hear, see, and feel to accurately assess, monitor, and administer careAble to frequently lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneelPossess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e.: insert catheters, start IV's, administer medications, and handle instruments)
