Medical AssistantAbout the role, and What you'll doPerform patient care by taking vitals, patient history and triagingAssist with procedures such as incision and drainage, lacerations and wound careAdminister medications via intradermal, intramuscular and subcutaneous routes, complete ear lavages and run EKGsConduct POC lab testing such as urinalysis, urine pregnancy test, blood glucose testing, monospot, rapid strep and influenza testing, and rapid hiv testingManage the front desk and perform receptionist duties (patient registration, insurance verification, and etc)Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol TestsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentCertification from an accredited Medical Assistant program (except in those locations(s) permitted by law for exemption with experience, diploma and/or national certification)Current BLS certification, willingness to obtain DOT certification1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant preferredPhlebotomy experience preferredGreat communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced environmentAs a physician-founded and led organization, ensuring everyone has access to quality healthcare is what inspires us.
