Our client is looking for a qualified Desktop Support Technician to support the team onsite in Lafayette, IN. Duties and Responsibilities:Repair, test, image and clean PC's, laptop, monitors, printers, and other related hardwareMaintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and computer peripherals. Ability to set up, configure, and add all hardwarePerform install, move, add, and changeLarge IMAC events expected for client printer migration and PC refreshesEnsure that all tickets requiring follow-up work and/or calls receive appropriate attentionComfortable with face-to-face interactions as will be required to provide technical support to end users in-person at the customer's siteBack up and burn end user dataAssist in developing and documenting improvements to current processesAssist other coworkers in resolution of end users' technical issues across the programAssist Site Leader in the execution of established processes and escalationsAssist with installations, configurations, upgrades, patch, and other maintenance actives of server equipmentPerform backup, recovery, and security procedures both planned or during emergencyFollow established procedures to detect, diagnose, and accurately report outage of critical site applicationsAssist with diagnoses of network hardware and performance problemsPerform approved installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical networkPerform network system administration task both planned or during emergencySkills and Qualifications:Experience with asset management3 to 6+ years' experience supporting PC Hardware and software, comfortability with limited support for server and network equipmentDeep understanding of diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing PC/laptop hardware internal components (motherboard, hard drives, RAM, CPU), and understanding of troubleshooting PC software (Windows blue-screen, Outlook, connect network printers) as wellGet work done independently; dependable availability to work scheduled hoursStrong understanding or work experience of server and network support within an enterprise. Support being provided is Hands and FeetUse a Confident, Positive Attitude to deliver great customer experience and to be invigorated by constant personal interactionWorking experience or strong understanding of enterprise technologies (Office 365, Win10 Professional, imaging, and ticketing systemsHaving experience supporting applications related to engineering, manufacturing, and logistics is a plusManaging stress while being able to deescalate tense users is a key attributeDemonstrate high energy given fast-paced environmentAbility to handle multiple projectsExperience working in an enterprise environmentAbility to independently lift up to 40lbs, bend, crawl in order to support customer computer systemsAbility to be on feet and physically walk potentially a good portion of the day while visiting customers work areasAbility to work with strong personalitiesTrusted to work proactively given limited site IT LeadershipWage Range: The rate for this position is between $21.00 - $28.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
