Assistant ManagerGoalThe Assistant Manager supports the Front of House Manager and Back of House Manager in keeping daily operations running smoothly and in alignment with Beer Barrel standards. This role assists both management teams in promoting a positive guest experience, contributing to operational consistency, and helping meet cost, labor, and training goals. The AM serves as an approachable, hands-on presence across the restaurant - stepping in wherever support is needed to help the FOH and BOH management teams succeed every shift.ResponsibilitiesAssist the FOH and BOH managers with day-to-day operations, helping ensure both sides of the restaurant run smoothly and in line with Beer Barrel standardsSupport scheduling, inventory, and ordering needs across FOH and BOH, helping the management team stay on track with labor and cost goalsHelp with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing team development, contributing to a positive and inclusive workplaceAssist in maintaining compliance with health, sanitation, food safety, and alcohol service standardsSupport the management team on facility needs, shift communication, and any follow-through items as neededHelp develop team members and emerging leaders through company programs and day-to-day coachingAssist with FOH and BOH cleanliness, organization, food quality, and general operational standardsLend support wherever needed across both FOH and BOH to help the management team and the overall guest experienceQualificationsMinimum 1-2 years of supervisory or lead role in a restaurant/hospitality environmentDemonstrated ability to support and work alongside diverse teams with a coaching and development mindsetKnowledge of food safety and alcohol service safety; certifications preferredStrong judgment, problem-solving ability, and a track record of contributing to operational goalsPositive, energetic presence that supports the team and connects with guestsProficiency in basic business math, scheduling, inventory management, and computer systemsWork EnvironmentFull-time, exempt salaried positionReports to the Front of House Manager and Back of House Manager, within a structure led by the Operating Partner100% in-person roleExpected to be an active, supportive presence across both FOH and BOH throughout all operating hours Beer Barrel Pizza & Grill is an equal opportunity employer.
