This position will be a key member of the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team in support of the final design, development, production, integration, test, and delivery of this critical capability focused on the requirements development, decomposition, and verification. In this role, you will:Perform requirements and verification engineering for the next-gen wideband MILSATCOM system.Develop, allocate, flow-down both performance and functional requirements from the system to its constituent segments and elements.Coordinate closely across the SEIT team and with lower-tier systems, hardware, and software engineers to ensure a comprehensive allocation and understanding of the system requirements.Develop verification and validation plans; lead the applicable verification and validation activities ensuring the systems both meets requirements and performs as needed.Support/lead key program design reviewsMultiple locations available for this position.The information below includes the standard job description for this position:Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.Basic qualifications:5 years of systems engineering experienceRequirements allocation, flow-down, verification, and/or VCRM development experienceExperiencing developing and/or verification of interface control documents (ICDs)Experience working either satellite or ground segment programsEligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance. Thus US citizenship is requiredDesired skills:Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering or a closely related technical discipline10+ years of requirements and verification experienceExperience in executing design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc)Experience with requirements allocation documentationSystem integration experienceFamiliarity with DOORS & CAMEOBackground in designing, or sustaining communication subsystems (e.g., RF, optical, digital), for space missionsActive or current DOD SECRET security clearanceProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practiceSpace NSS pay information:Full-time salary range: $145100.00 - $269500.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
