Staff Accountant

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Jacksonville, FL. This position is full-time, onsite (5 days per week). Summary: We are partnering with a well-established organization in Jacksonville to identify a Staff Accountant who will play a key role in supporting the month-end close process, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and general accounting operations. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while contributing to process improvements and financial accuracy across the organization. Key Responsibilities:

• Staff Accountant will prepare and post journal entries
• Complete cash and non-cash balance sheet reconciliations, including research and resolution of reconciling items
• Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and other assigned accounting processes
• Support financial reporting and various accounting functions as needed
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• As a Staff Accountant, you will respond to internal and external audit requests
• Assist with follow-up and resolution of unclaimed property items
• Participate in special projects and other accounting-related duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
• 3 to 5 years of accounting and/or audit experience
• CPA designation or CPA eligibility preferred
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Oracle EBS General Ledger experience
• BlackLine reconciliation tool experience
