Litigation Attorney – Civil Litigation (HOA) | Hybrid | Los Angeles or Orange County, CA | Up to $225K + Bonus Our client, a highly respected California law firm, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 3–7 years of civil litigation experience to join its growing Community Association (HOA) practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for a civil litigator looking to expand into a specialized and highly regarded practice area. Prior HOA or community association experience is preferred but not required . Attorneys with backgrounds in civil litigation, insurance defense, commercial litigation, real estate litigation, construction litigation, or property litigation are encouraged to apply. The firm represents a diverse portfolio of clients, including homeowners associations for single-family communities, condominium developments, high-rise buildings, commercial properties, and mixed-use developments. Attorneys enjoy sophisticated litigation work, direct client interaction, meaningful responsibility, and a collaborative team environment. What You’ll Do Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery. Conduct and defend depositions. Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences. Develop litigation strategy and advise clients on legal risk. Prepare matters for trial and assist with trial proceedings. Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and the courts. Handle a broad range of disputes involving community associations, real estate, and related civil litigation matters. Qualifications Active member in good standing of the California State Bar. 3–7 years of civil litigation experience. Strong motion practice, discovery, deposition, and courtroom experience. Excellent legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills. Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload. Trial experience is a plus. HOA, community association, real estate, or construction litigation experience is a plus, but not required. Why Consider This Opportunity? Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. In addition to base compensation, attorneys receive: $55 per billable hour for every hour above 155 billable hours per month (1,860 annually) Discretionary annual bonus based on individual and firm performance (typically $5,000–$10,000 ) Benefits Medical insurance (approximately 90% employer-paid) Flexible Paid Time Off Strong employer contribution toward medical benefits.
