Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing established assessments and observational techniques.
• Create individualized treatment plans that cater to short-term objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that focus on various aspects including communication, language, fluency, voice production, and swallowing therapy.
• Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to formulate cohesive care strategies.
• Provide education for patients and their families to bolster progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions for speech therapy, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the entire treatment course.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in line with the protocols set forth by state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay abreast of advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer engagement.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
