Description

• Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment plans targeting each patient's unique communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, voice clarity, fluency, and swallowing functions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to develop integrated care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and their families to support continued progress between therapy sessions.
• Engage in periodic inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure comprehensive care throughout treatment.
• Maintain meticulous documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational standards.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

• Must hold valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be secured within 30 days of employment start date.
