Mid Market Outbound BDR

About the Role The mission of Envoy’s Business Development Representatives (BDR) team is two-fold: first, to serve as the talent pipeline for the next generation of Account Executives (AEs) within the organization, and second, to generate new‑business pipeline for the sales organization. The BDR’s primary day‑to‑day responsibility is to generate sales pipeline by delivering qualified discovery meetings for the AE team. Key responsibilities include: Target prospect accounts and assess fit, generating excitement and interest across prospects for sales discovery conversations. Conduct account and contact research, manage a territory of accounts, and perform qualification, interest generation, and introduction brokering between AEs and prospective clients. Work closely with AEs, Marketing and BDR Management to deliver a world‑class customer experience for prospective customers. Execute an account‑based go‑to‑market motion, strategically focusing on high‑value accounts while handling higher‑volume activities (e.g., >100 outbound calls via Orum). Develop strong knowledge of Envoy’s product suite and maintain a unique point of view on the workplace and visitor management market. Participate in ongoing professional development and advance professionally within Envoy. Serve as the first point‑of‑contact for prospective Envoy customers across a range of industries, from small businesses to large organizations. Qualifications Over 9 months as a BDR/SDR in the technology industry OR 1+ year of full sales‑cycle closing experience in another industry. Demonstrable ability to prospect into mid‑market/enterprise level accounts using phone calls, personalized emails, and a suite of sales tools. Excellent time‑management skills and superb written and spoken communication. Strong sense of organization, autonomy, and teamwork. Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, and other sales‑enablement tools. Intellectually curious, ambitious, and eager to build foundational sales skills.
