This position assembles, positions, modifies, and dismantles scaffolding to job specifications. Non-exempt role; Reports to a Frontline Supervisor (Leadman or foreman); Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently. Essential Qualifications:High school or equivalentOne to four years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)Must be local candidateAbility to read engineered drawings preferredAbility to operate different types of Forklift National Certification preferred (may be required by client)Written pre-employment qualification testPost-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluationJob site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplaceEmployee may be required to provide the following: toolbox, tool belt, adjustable wrench, ratchet wrench with socket, claw hammer, cutting pliers, torpedo level, tape, and rain suit Functional Requirements:Inspects surface for holes, objects, and levelness, Assembles scaffold consisting of guardrails, mid-rails, braces, planks, toe boards, screens and/or wheels, Positions scaffold by rolling it into place or erecting in place, Secures scaffold to permanent structure if required, Some other assembly types may include hard barricades, strong backs, engineered scaffold, stairways, etc., Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction. CompensationFinal agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. BenefitsDepending on your employment status, benefits include health, dental, vision, life, ADD, voluntary life / ADD, disability benefits, leaves of absence, 401k, paid time off, paid holidays, telehealth access, and employee assistance program. Physical Involvement:Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting ; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction. Turner Industries is an equal employment opportunity employer.
