Registered Nurse – Family Birthing Center

Schedule: Days

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:

• Current Washington State RN Licensure
• HCP (Healthcare Provider) Level of BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire
• Experience as an acute care registered nurse preferred
• Minimum one year of RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments
• AAP NRP Advanced certification required for all RNs working in MBU prior to the end of orientation and renewed every 2 years
• ACLS certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire and renewed every 2 years
• STABLE course completion within 6 months of completing orientation, and renewed every 2 years (optional)
• AWHONN's Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course for all L&D RNs is required and must be obtained within 3 months of completing L&D training and renewed every 2 years

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assess and document patients' physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
• Implement care according to established procedures, policies, and care plans.
• Identify patient and family learning needs and provide education as required.
• Ensure the delegation and supervision of patient care activities for optimal outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and organizational policies.
• Engage in professional development to stay current with healthcare trends and practices.

Compliance / Notes:

Additional accountabilities, as required by management, must be handled to meet organizational standards.
