Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing support in the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP to assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and electrophysiology procedures. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education throughout complex, high-pressure interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians and healthcare team members in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac/endovascular procedures.
• Prepare and educate patients before procedures, ensuring understanding and compliance.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations promptly, leveraging critical care experience.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with sterile procedures when necessary.
• Document patient care, procedures, and relevant clinical information accurately.
• Participate in on-call rotations, providing support outside regular hours.

Qualifications:

• Hold an NJ RN license with 1-3 years of critical care and/or Cath Lab experience.
• Possess BLS and ACLS certifications; EKG interpretation skills required.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and flexibility under stress.
• Prefer prior Cath Lab experience and CCRN or RCIS credentials.
• Maintain IV certification and proficiency in sterile technique and preparing for sterile procedures.
