Associate Director, Operational Procurement

Associate Director of Operational Procurement at Penumbra oversees procurement strategy, raw material planning, and supplier management to ensure cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The role involves leading a procurement team, managing inventory forecasting, and driving continuous improvement across sourcing and compliance activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute raw material and finished goods forecasting processes to optimize inventory and ordering cycles
• Lead, mentor, and manage the Operational Procurement team with task allocation and performance tracking
• Design and maintain procurement policies, practices, and procedures aligned with company standards
• Collaborate with Strategic Procurement, Production, Quality, and Finance to resolve supplier and supply chain issues
• Identify and implement improvements to procurement practices and risk mitigation strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field
• 10+ years in material planning, inventory management, and purchasing
• 6+ years of direct management and team leadership experience
• Proficiency with ERP, MRP, and P2P systems
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
