Escrow Officer

Barrister Title is seeking an experienced Title Closer / Escrow Officer to manage residential real estate transactions from contract to closing in our Schererville, Indiana office. We are looking for someone confident, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and takes pride in delivering smooth, accurate closings while building strong relationships with clients and industry partners. Responsibilities: • Prepare and conduct residential purchase and refinance closings • Review and interpret mortgage loan documentation • Prepare, review, and balance settlement statements accurately • Coordinate with lenders, agents, attorneys, HOAs, buyers, and sellers throughout the transaction • Manage timelines, documents, title requirements, and communication from opening through funding • Ensure files are complete, accurate, and ready for closing • Fund transactions accurately and on time • Help proactively identify and resolve issues before they become closing delays • Maintain compliance with all company procedures and applicable regulations • Deliver a professional, organized, client-focused closing experience Qualifications: WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR • Experience handling residential title closings and escrow transactions • Strong working knowledge of mortgage loan documentation and settlement statements • Excellent organization and file management skills • Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines efficiently • Strong communication and relationship-building skills • Professional, polished, and pleasant to work with • Someone who takes ownership, follows through, and keeps files moving • SoftPro experience is a plus Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 yearly

Compensation:
$60,000-$65,000 per year
