Job Title and Location Security Officer Patrol Role – Detroit, MI Position Details Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $16.91 / Hour Job Schedule Thursday 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM Friday 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM Saturday 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM Sunday 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control duties, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout utility-related buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and help enforce location rules regarding restricted or controlled areas. Support day-to-day security-related operations by communicating with personnel, observing site conditions, and reporting maintenance, hazard, and/or policy-related issues. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
