- Review USCIS filing packages before they are mailed or submitted to ensure that each package is complete, accurate, properly supported by evidence, and in full compliance with the requirements applicable to the specific type of case being processed.
- Identify missing documentation, inconsistencies, potential issues, or deficiencies in USCIS packages and provide direction to paralegals and legal support staff to correct them before submission.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and apply relevant statutes, regulations, case law, and agency guidance to individual cases.
- Develop case strategies based on the client's immigration history, goals, eligibility, and available evidence.

- Work closely with paralegals and legal support staff to ensure cases are prepared accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
- Provide legal guidance, direction, and feedback to paralegals and other support staff regarding case preparation.
- Review work prepared by support staff and ensure that legal documents and filing packages meet the firm's quality standards before submission.
- Maintain accurate and timely case notes, deadlines, and documentation within the firm's case management system.
- Ensure that all filings and client matters comply with applicable court and agency deadlines and requirements.
- Monitor case deadlines and take appropriate action to prevent missed filing dates, hearings, interviews, or other critical deadlines.
- Stay current on changes in immigration law, regulations, policies, procedures, and relevant case law.
- Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, cultural sensitivity, and sound judgment when working with clients facing complex and sensitive immigration matters.
