Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Berkeley, CA

This per diem opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist adept in retail pharmacy operations, supporting a specialty health clinic located in Berkeley, CA. The pharmacy serves a vulnerable patient population, requiring a compassionate and patient-focused approach to care. The ideal candidate will have recent retail pharmacy experience and be comfortable supervising pharmacy technicians while managing typical retail pharmacy duties within a health clinic setting.


Location:

• Berkeley, CA (Equity Health Clinic - SOMA location)
• No free parking available nearby; public transit is strongly recommended. The candidate is encouraged to take BART/train for ease of commute. Parking options are limited and paid; parking expenses are not reimbursed.

Schedule:

• Friday, March 6: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Thursday, March 19: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Wednesday, April 8: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medication and supervise pharmacy technicians
• Manage workflow and maintain regulatory compliance in a retail health clinic environment
• Provide patient-centered counseling and support for a diverse and vulnerable patient population
• Utilize New Leaf pharmacy system for dispensing and record-keeping

Qualifications:

• Active California pharmacy license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience, with strong supervisory skills
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations and demonstrate cultural sensitivity
• Reliable transportation and willingness to commute via public transit or handle parking logistics
