RN - MedSurg/Tele

Registered Nurse - Med Surg/Telemetry - 13 Week Contract

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The nurse is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction. Specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills are utilized to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Document nursing care and patient progress in accordance with professional standards.
• Direct and supervise the nursing services provided by staff members.
• Utilize specialized knowledge to plan and provide care for various patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working with stroke patients.
• Must be willing to take Telemetry patients as needed.
• NIHSS Certification must be obtained within 48 hours if offered.
• MRS/SIREN Certification must be obtained within 48 hours if offered.
• COVID vaccination required; no declinations accepted.
• Must hold an active RN license in the state of Maryland.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Ability to work on the facility's schedule without restrictions.
• Skills Checklist specific to Med Surg discipline required.
• 1 supervisory reference from the last 6 months required.
• 1 supervisory reference from the last 12 months required.
• Resume must clearly explain any gaps over 30 days.
