The successful candidate will be key to supporting the administrative functions of the group.What You'll DoPrepare memoranda for opening new mattersDrafting, editing, and formatting of legal documentsMonitor and update attorney and non-attorney professional calendar(s)Prepare and send out transmittal lettersPrepare and submit expense reportsSave, print, scan, and file all transmittal documents on each fileFile with State and Federal CourtsPrepare for depositionsAssist with discoveryPrepare and organize exhibitsPerform general office duties as requiredWhat We're Looking ForMinimum 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in litigationGood working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, OutlookExperience with ProLaw preferredAccurate typing speed of 65+ wpmExperience with editing, revising and drafting of legal documentsAbility to complete projects with little directionKnowledge of local, state and federal court rulesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh accuracy rate and strong attention to detailAbility to maintain composure under pressureAbility to use discretion and handle confidential informationAbility to meet deadlines and produce high quality work productsCompensationSalary range: $24-$28/hour. This is a good-faith estimate for the position based on location and minimum criteria. Actual compensation may vary based on experience and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
