Accounting Assistant

Location: Muncie, IN
Pay: $20/hr and up, based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Assignment: 60-90 days, with potential for direct hire

Pro Resources is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant for an onsite opportunity in Muncie. The company is transitioning to new accounting software and is looking for someone who can support the accounting team while they work through the change. This is a full-time, 60-90-day temporary assignment with the possibility of becoming a permanent role for the right person.

What you'll do

• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and cash application
• Complete reconciliations and work with accounting data in Excel
• Help clean up data during the software transition
• Document processes and help the team cross-train on key tasks

What we're looking for

• Hands-on experience in accounting support, bookkeeping, AP, AR, or a similar role
• A solid understanding of basic accounting work
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to learn new systems
• Dependability, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential information
• Someone who communicates well, asks questions, and enjoys working with a team

A degree is not required if you have relevant experience. The team is looking for someone who can contribute quickly and work well with people across the company.
