Temporary Field/Summer Assistant - Vines Position number: G/R31077P. Department: CAES-Crop & Soil Sciences. Office location: Griffin Area. Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Full‑time, 1.00 FTE). Classification: Temporary Technical Paraprofessional. FLSA: Non‑Exempt. Position Summary Assist in field preparation, maintenance, and greenhouse management of turfgrass research areas. Duties include: Maintaining turfgrass plots – 50% of time. Assisting in greenhouse operations – 50% of time. Minimum Qualifications At least one year of high school education. Some experience in field work. Physical Demands Work outdoors in heat and lift up to 50 pounds. Background Investigation Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a background investigation, including a criminal background check, verification of credentials, and a satisfactory credit check.
