We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a Group Leader who will be training, coaching, and encouraging employees to follow proper procedures as well as acting as a role model for the employees in the department. Making sure the job is done right as well as in a safe manner.

Requirements:

• Candidate must be a self-starter and supportive of all team members and activities
• Must have effective verbal, and written communication skills and problem-solving skills
• Time management and ability to be detail oriented
• Ability to perform math calculations and necessary to accurately review and compare information
• Knowledge of continuous improvement processes; participation in safety and/or continuous improvement activities preferred
• Must have computer skills (proficiency in Excel a plus)

Duties and Responsibilities:

A typical day may include

• Training and development of team members
• Coaching and mentoring the team to follow and improve standard of work
• Facilitating continuous improvement and safety activities
• Verifying quality checks and ensuring procedures are followed
• Balancing the workload of team members and demand in the zone
• Providing direction and assistance on difficult machining operations that require difficult set-up
• Selecting materials and allowances
• Assigning, directing, and working with others on development and experimental work
• Problem solving and establishing root cause
• Restoring workflow if problems arise
• Keeping zone clean and organized, ensuring everything has a place (5-S)
• Scheduling the area to produce efficiently
• Tracking training and job performance
• Reducing change over

Position Details:

• Full Time
• Located in: Lancaster, PA
• 2nd Shift: 3 PM - 11 PM with ability to flex to business needs
