Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Type: Contract (Travel)
Shift & Schedule: Day/Evening | 4 x 10-Hour Shifts | Start Time Between 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM | Every Other Weekend | Holiday Rotation
Pay Rate:
Travel Pay - $1490 to $1590/ week

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for an exciting Contract opportunity in Portland, IN. The ideal candidate will perform laboratory testing and specimen analysis while ensuring accurate, timely results and maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and analyze patient specimens following established laboratory procedures and quality standards.

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment while ensuring accurate documentation of test results.

• Adhere to laboratory safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and quality assurance procedures.

• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate diagnostic information.

• Participate in weekend, holiday, and rotating shift coverage while maintaining excellent patient care and laboratory service.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field required.

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Laboratory Technician experience required.

• Current ASCP Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification required.

• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, quality control, and specimen handling.

• Experience operating laboratory instrumentation and maintaining accurate documentation.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
