URBN Order Picker Operator

Warehouse Equipment OperatorThe equipment operator will help fulfill orders in the warehouse by utilizing warehousing equipment such as forklifts and order pickers. This position will be in the warehouse facility, specializing in large furniture shipped across North America. This position will be on one of two shifts that cover a 7-day-per-week operation.They should be a motivated team player with a positive attitude and good organizational and communication skills. Individuals should be able to function well in a multi-task environment with attention to detail and willing to accept new and diverse assignments. Candidate must be able to work with all organizational levels, including fellow employees, customers, and management.Schedule: RDC D581 (Monday - Friday 6:00am-2:30pm)Role ResponsibilitiesOperate a scanner to track the location of products in the buildingOperates warehousing equipment such as forklifts and order pickers frequentlySafely operate in a warehouse environmentWork as part of a teamFollow work instructionsFollow-up on tasksRole QualificationsMust be 18 years or olderHigh school degree or GED a plusWarehousing or manufacturing experience a plusForklift or heavy machinery experience a plusAble to operate department-specific technology to execute job tasks i.e. RF scanners or desktop computers and touchscreensMaintain acceptable attendance and must be able to work overtime as requiredComprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standardsPhysical RequirementsAble to stand and walk for considerable distance throughout a shiftClimb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periodsReach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights to 50 poundsOperate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e., forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker) which requires coordinated movementsThe PerksURBN offers comprehensive Perks & Benefits to employees.
