Shift Hours: 

• 8:30 AM–5:00 PM - Mon - Friday
• One late night per week: 11:00 AM–8:00 PM 
• Saturdays: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM when the clinic is open

As a Medical Assistant, you play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to patients. Under the supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you¿ll perform administrative and clinical tasks to support patient care, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every individual who walks through our doors.

What You Will Do

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Obtain and record patient medical histories accurately.
• Measure and document vital signs as part of patient assessments.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers during these processes.
• Perform administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), OR
  • Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years, OR
  • Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting, OR
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR
  • Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience, OR
  • Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
• Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by end of orientation.

Preferred

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
