Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Required Experience:

• Active Special Education teaching license in Georgia, with appropriate endorsements for Autism/Adaptive Curriculum or General Curriculum
• Experience working with students with autism, particularly supporting high physical and academic needs (for elementary self-contained classroom)
• Familiarity with inclusion practices and resource support models (for middle school settings)
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Demonstrated ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to meet a wide range of abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in a self-contained or inclusion classroom
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate students’ diverse learning needs
• Coordinate and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with families, school staff, and other professionals
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom climate that encourages student participation and growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure smooth transitions and effective educational supports
