Overnight Maintenance Electrician

Job Description Sika is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for our Roofing business. The Maintenance Electrician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all types of machinery within buildings, whether mechanical, electrical, or PLC controlled. The shift will be M, T, W, and Thu 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, and the position will play a key role in performing preventative maintenance. Salary Range: $45‑$48 with a 20% shift differential based on education, experience, and qualifications. Must have experience in running EMT, rigid conduit, threading, and bending EMT from 1/2" to 2" (kicks, saddles, 90’s, offsets, etc.). Must have experience with repair, installs, replacement, and testing of electrical circuits and equipment, with an extensive understanding of electrical networking and control systems. Diagnosing malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment such as voltmeter, ohmmeter, and megohm‑meter. Responsible for troubleshooting PLC‑controlled equipment; knowledge of AC motor controls, DC motors and controls, variable frequency drives, pneumatic and hydraulic controls from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings. Work independently, being professional and completing work orders and maintenance log books in a timely and thorough manner. Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with a daily focus on environment, health, and safety. Qualifications High School Degree. Must be a licensed journeyman electrician in the state of Massachusetts. 5 years of industrial or manufacturing‑related work experience. Understanding of PLC‑controlled production lines.
