Job Description\n GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, rotating\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2355.52\n \n Opportunity:\n RN - IMU (Intermediate Care Unit)\n Job Details:\n • 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, with shifts running from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM\n • Must be on the unit and ready to go by 6:45 AM or 6:45 PM\n • Weekend shifts include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday\n • Night shift requires 4 weekend night shifts per 4-week schedule\n • Day shift requires 4 weekend day shifts per 4-week schedule with a minimum of 3 night shifts per 4-week schedule\n • Self-scheduling is allowed as long as unit needs are met, with up to 4 requested days off per month\n • Patient ratios goal is 1:4, though typically running 1:5 and occasionally 1:6\n • Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips independently\n • Must be able to titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetalol, Nitroglycerin, Heparin, and occasionally Lasix\n • Float requirement into Telemetry or MedSurg rotation as needed, with ratios up to 1:6 or occasionally 1:7 in MedSurg\n • Common diagnoses include chest pain, rule-out MI, CHF, arrhythmias, post pacer, pre/post caths, and patients on Tikosyn therapy\n • Responsible for managing radial bands and groin checks; does not pull sheaths\n • EMR system: Sunrise; Charting system: EPIC\n • Telemetry monitor: Nihon Kohden\n • RN scrub color: Navy blue top and bottom with navy scrub jacket; no hoodies\n • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS\n • BSN not required\n • Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius; a copy of an unexpired driver's license must be submitted with application\n • Any licensing hits must be disclosed at the time of submission\n • Attendance policy: 2 occurrences including tardies and call-offs per 13-week contract; 2 occurrences will result in termination\n Facility:\n This acute care facility operates a 30-bed Intermediate Care Unit with 14 private and 16 semi-private rooms.
