Physical Therapist Assistant - Part Time Inpatient

About the Job MedStar Health is seeking an Inpatient Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center. Primary Duties Document and charge for patient care activities, providing clear records of the patient's course of care under supervision of a licensed physical therapist, and demonstrating effective time management and meeting productivity expectations. Arrange schedules for re‑evaluations and discharge summaries, complete appropriate discharge planning and follow‑up care, determine equipment needs, and contribute new ideas for patient treatment. Provide patient treatment services including reviewing pertinent historical information, safely administering modalities, and delivering interventions within the limits of the treatment plan under supervision, while collaborating with other team members for interdisciplinary care. Recognize and document changes in patient condition, and collaborate with the supervising physical therapist to modify the treatment plan. Provide verbal and written reports for patient progress conferences, pursue continuing education for professional growth, and serve as a clinical instructor to assigned students when appropriate. Qualifications Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia, or Virginia as required for the location. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
