Airfreight Coordinator – The Woodlands, TX (Houston) We are looking for an Airfreight Coordinator to join our team in The Woodlands, TX. The role involves coordinating air shipments, ensuring compliance, providing customer service, and managing freight documentation. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with TSA, DOT, and Customs regulations (US & foreign). Prepare all required paperwork for delay‑free forwarding and trace/track shipments. Arrange inland and air freight shipments, as well as transport of shipments. Provide responsive customer service via phone and email. Inform customers of unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays and any additional needed information. Book invoices, bill customers after shipment completion. Develop and maintain long‑term customer and vendor relationships. Manage overseas communications including high‑volume overnight correspondence. Maintain knowledge of seasonal, political and other factors that could cause delay. Advise customers on pricing discounts and encourage add‑ons when applicable. Enter orders, compute totals, print shipment documents and file orders. Verify shipping orders against quantity shipped via computer‑generated reports. Specify special labeling requirements and supply to the shipping department when needed. Receive and process customer complaints. Coordinate with production, shipping, warehouse, and common carrier personnel to expedite missing or delayed shipments. Compile statistics and prepare reports for management. Provide answers to customer and internal queries regarding product operation or direct to appropriate personnel. Process quotations promptly and maintain quote files. Maintain a customer name and address database. Send updated pricing with correct multiplier to all customers. Create no‑charge shippers for customer replacements. Adhere to all company compliance, QHSES, Code of Business Conduct, Employee Handbook and related policies. Follow safe work practices and procedures established by the company. Enforce QHSES policy and procedures, safeguarding personal and others’ health and safety. Qualifications 1‑4 years of freight forwarding experience preferred. Understanding of TACT and IATA rules and regulations. Positive attitude, multitasking skills, and ability to work independently with little supervision. Focus on customer needs and commitment to exceeding expectations. Problem‑solving ability, attention to detail, and capacity to learn and adapt. Creative thinking and openness to new ideas. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and other MS Office products. Familiarity with the dataworks system for data input and retrieval.
