Successful technicians accurately identify mechanical and electrical concerns, complete repairs efficiently, and ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and dealership quality standards.Technicians are expected to maintain productivity, follow safety procedures, communicate effectively with service advisors, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.Essential ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, filters, batteries, and inspectionsDiagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, suspension, steering, brake, HVAC, and engine performance concernsPerform repairs according to manufacturer specificationsComplete warranty repairs following OEM proceduresUtilize computerized diagnostic equipment and scan tools to identify vehicle issuesRead and interpret repair manuals, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, and technical informationInspect vehicles and recommend additional maintenance or repairs when neededPerform engine, transmission, suspension, steering, electrical, and brake repairsTest drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify proper operationMaintain accurate repair documentation and technician notesCommunicate findings clearly with service advisors and managementMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all OSHA, EPA, dealership, and manufacturer safety guidelinesContinuously participate in manufacturer and dealership training programsRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to pass pre-employment screening as requiredBasic computer skills and familiarity with digital repair ordersStrong mechanical aptitudeAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periodsStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent verbal communication and teamwork skillsPositive attitude and strong work ethicCommitment to delivering exceptional customer servicePreferred QualificationsExperienced technicians should possess one or more of the following:2+ years of automotive repair experience (preferred)Previous dealership experience preferredASE Certifications (A-Series) preferredManufacturer certifications (Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, Toyota, or other OEMs) preferredExperience using OEM diagnostic softwareExperience diagnosing complex drivability and electrical concernsProficiency with scan tools, oscilloscopes, and electronic diagnostic equipmentExperience with engine performance diagnosticsBrake, steering, suspension, HVAC, transmission, and engine repair experienceHybrid and EV service experience is a plusAbility to accurately estimate repair timesStrong understanding of automotive electrical systemsWelding or fabrication experience is a plusState inspection license (where applicable)Tools & EquipmentA personal set of professional automotive hand tools appropriate for their experience levelAbility to safely operate lifts, alignment equipment, tire machines, balancing equipment, and diagnostic toolsWillingness to invest in additional tools as career progression requiresPhysical RequirementsFrequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouchLift and carry up to 50 pounds regularlyWork in a fast-paced shop environmentOperate vehicles with manual and automatic transmissionsWork around moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and shop equipment while following all safety proceduresWhat Makes You SuccessfulPassion for the automotive industryPride in workmanshipStrong diagnostic and problem-solving abilitiesDependability and accountabilityAttention to detailProfessionalismTeam-oriented mindsetCommitment to ongoing technical educationDesire to exceed customer expectationsAbility to consistently meet productivity and quality goalsEqual Opportunity EmployerWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
