Job Description
PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking skilled PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team. The ideal candidates will possess experience with cardiac drips and be capable of titrating and managing medications as a fundamental requirement.

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to patients in the PCU/Stepdown unit.
Monitor and manage cardiac drips, ensuring proper titration according to patient needs.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care.
Float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical floors as needed when overstaffed.
Adhere to established patient care protocols and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Experience in a PCU/Stepdown setting with a focus on cardiac care.
Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Flexible to work weekends as required (every other weekend).
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Shift Information

This position includes night shifts consisting of 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00).

Additional Information

Expected nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4-5.
Employees may choose one holiday off between Thanksgiving or Christmas.
48-hour work weeks are approved.
No parking fees for staff.
Charting is conducted using Epic.
