Responsibilities of the Junior Accountant entail: Review parts sold by route salesmen and enter data into spreadsheet for commission payrolls. Prepare and review bank account reconciliations. Obtain detailed information for journal entries, correct data, and enter data into accounting system. Work with IT department to obtain commission data, compare that data to commission goals, and send to Staff Accountants for review. Work with location managers to verify general ledger expenses and follow up if there are issues. Gather data and prepare Federal Excise Tax spreadsheets. Review intercompany expense allocations for accuracy. Send warranty, core bank, and parts return reports to locations for corrections and status on past due amounts. Pull Accounts Payable invoices for review for sales tax application. Reconcile and code credit card receipts. Coordinate with others in the Accounting Department to troubleshoot issues as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned.
