Sunbelt Staffing is partnering with school districts in the Northport, Alabama  area to hire compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers for the upcoming school year. What You'll Do

As a Special Education Teacher, you'll provide specialized instruction and develop educational plans that support students academically, socially, and behaviorally. Working closely with families and school staff, you'll help ensure students receive the resources and accommodations they need to succeed.

Primary Responsibilities
Design and implement individualized instruction aligned with each student's IEP
Monitor academic and behavioral progress while adjusting instructional strategies as needed
Create a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and parents
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and compliance documentation
Support students in developing independence, confidence, and life skills
Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal special education requirements
Position Highlights
Full-time schedule 
School-based contract assignment
Elementary, middle, and high school placements available based on district needs
Collaborative special education teams and administrative support

Successful candidates will have:

Active Alabama Special Education Teaching Certification
Previous experience in a school setting preferred
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
