Wastewater Project Manager

We are seeking a Project Manager with a PE License, and experience in Water/Wastewater to join a business in Houston, Tx. This is an opportunity for an experienced water/wastewater professional who can combine technical design expertise with project management and client-facing responsibilities. The successful candidate will manage the delivery of water and wastewater facility and infrastructure projects, while developing strong relationships with existing clients and identifying opportunities for future work. The position also offers a clear path for career progression, with the opportunity to take on greater technical leadership and potentially progress into team or departmental management. Key Responsibilities Manage projects from initial scope through to completion, including budgets, schedules, resources and overall project delivery. Lead the technical delivery of projects, ensuring designs, specifications and reports meet company quality standards and applicable local, state and federal regulations. Take ownership of engineering decisions and provide practical, technically sound solutions throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with internal engineering teams, senior management, clients and other project stakeholders. Lead both single-discipline and multidisciplinary projects, providing technical direction, mentoring and support to junior and intermediate engineers. Develop and review designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, as well as water and wastewater collection and infrastructure systems. Attend and lead client and regulatory/agency meetings, resolving technical issues and coordinating project requirements. Maintain and develop relationships with existing municipal and infrastructure clients, helping to identify and develop additional project opportunities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited programme. Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Texas, or the ability to obtain Texas registration through reciprocity. 6+ years of relevant experience in water/wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design. We are looking for a technically capable water/wastewater engineer who can take ownership of projects, communicate effectively with clients and agencies, and provide guidance to other members of the engineering team.
