Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct diverse ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts studies
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures while clearly explaining each step with empathy and detail
• Work in tandem with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic images
• Effectively operate and maintain imaging equipment, promptly addressing any malfunctions
• Document procedures accurately and manage patient records in the electronic medical system
• Keep abreast of advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a relevant field
• Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred

Skills Needed

• Solid technical proficiency in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
