## Title
Registered Nurse - Corrections

## Schedule
- Orientation: 72 hours
- Weekend shifts: Varies based on unit needs

## Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 13-16 weeks

## Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience in specialty
- Current/ongoing acute care experience (hard stop)
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Charting system: Epic
- Telemetry/PCU experience and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Airway support (e.g., BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, non-invasive airway), tracheostomy care
- Central line/PICC and peripheral IV care; blood product administration
- Chest tube management, surgical drains, wound/graft care
- IV insulin protocols, cardiac drip management (no titration)
- Pre/post hemodialysis care

## Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a locked corrections unit.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs and telemetry readings.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
- Demonstrate knowledge of isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in code response and rapid response teams as necessary.

## Compliance / Notes
- Required time off must be submitted with application.
- Ohio fingerprinting is urgent and must be completed immediately after signing.
- Valid compact or state license required at time of submission.
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager or director.
