Job TechnicianLocation: Mobile, Alabama (Onsite)Work Arrangement: 100% OnsiteEmployment Type: ContractTarget Start Date: Mid to Late SeptemberPosition Overview: We are seeking a hands-on Job Technician to provide on-site technology support for employees and project personnel within a fast-paced project environment. This individual will serve as the front-line technology resource supporting end users, workstations, mobile devices, connectivity, and office technology needs while delivering outstanding customer service.The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with end users, and supporting a dynamic team environment. This role requires a strong customer-service mindset, technical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to operate independently while coordinating closely with remote IT teams.Key Responsibilities:Provide on-site desktop and end-user technology support for project personnel and office staff.Serve as the first point of contact for hardware, software, connectivity, and access-related issues.Deploy, configure, and support laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.Assist with new employee onboarding, workstation setup, account access, and technology orientation.Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, mobile devices, and common business software.Coordinate with centralized IT teams to escalate and resolve technical issues.Support office build-outs, workstation moves, conference room technology, and hardware deployments.Manage inventory, tracking, shipping, and deployment of IT equipment.Support badge provisioning, access requests, and related technology onboarding activities.Perform routine system checks and technology readiness reviews.Document support requests, troubleshooting efforts, and resolutions in the ticketing platform.Deliver a high level of customer service and white-glove support experience to end users.Required Qualifications:2+ years of experience in desktop support, help desk support, field services, or technical support roles.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience supporting Windows operating systems and PC hardware.Experience supporting laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and related peripherals.Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a project environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent customer service skills and a professional, customer-facing demeanor.Ability to collaborate effectively with both local teams and remote IT support resources.Preferred Qualifications:Experience using ServiceNow or a similar IT ticketing platform.Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting experience.Experience supporting Apple/iOS devices.Experience deploying hardware and supporting office or project-site technology setups.Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and user support.Exposure to scripting, automation, or endpoint management tools.Experience working in engineering, construction, manufacturing, industrial, or project-based environments.What We're Looking For:A motivated IT professional who enjoys hands-on support work.Someone who takes ownership and follows through on issues from start to finish.A team-oriented individual who enjoys helping others succeed.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.A customer-first mindset with a focus on responsiveness and professionalism.A self-starter who can adapt quickly to changing priorities within a project environment.Someone eager to continue developing technical and professional skills.What Success Looks Like:End users receive timely, professional, and effective support.New employees are onboarded quickly and successfully.Technology issues are resolved efficiently with minimal disruption to operations.Hardware deployments and office technology projects are completed accurately and on schedule.Project personnel view the Job Technician as a trusted technology resource and partner.
