Job Title: Curing / Copping Operator

Job Description

The Curing / Copping Operator plays a critical role in the paver production process. This position is responsible for monitoring, handling, and assisting in the curing and finishing stages of concrete pavers to ensure quality, consistency, and safety standards are met. This is a physically demanding role in a hot, wet, and dusty manufacturing environment, ideal for individuals who are comfortable working in industrial conditions and on their feet throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the curing and finishing process of concrete pavers.

• Monitor pavers during production to ensure quality standards are met.

• Handle materials safely and efficiently throughout the process.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

• Follow all safety guidelines, including PPE requirements.

• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

• Report equipment issues or safety concerns immediately.

• Ability to work in hot, wet, and dusty conditions.

• Willingness to follow safety and production standards.

• Ability to work assigned shifts consistently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Industrial experience preferred, but not required.

• Bilingual highly preferred (Creole, Spanish, or English).

• Must have toe protection.

• Must be able to work overtime.

Work Environment

Work in a very hot environment where floors are wet due to the water used to mix concrete. The environment is also dusty due to fans and concrete cutting operations. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the shift. Work the third shift from 10 pm to 6 am, with the first day starting at 8 pm for orientation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
