Employment Type: Per Diem

Shift: Rotating

Hours Per Week: 0-hour/week

Hiring Range: $17.00- $22.74/hourly

The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities:

• Makes rounds on the unit looking for items needing attention.
• Straightens utility rooms, linen rooms and pantry as needed.
• Assists with meal service, passing trays, and clearing of tables.
• Makes beds and tidy up rooms. Passes out clean linen.
• Assures ice water is available on the units.
• Answers call lights and perform non-nursing duties reporting to nursing when resident needs hands-on assistance or care from a licensed nurse.
• Screens visitors.
• Responsible for miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ability to push carts, wheelchairs, and other equipment.
• Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Climb stairs, reach above or below shoulder height.
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to get along with residents of various cultures and backgrounds.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Provides prompt and efficient assistance.
• Must treat residents' information as confidential.

Education:

• High school diploma/GED preferred

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
