Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location: Olympia, WA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type: Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 3×12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department serving approximately 170 patients per day across all age groups
• Deliver nursing care within a Level 1 stroke and cardiac center and a Level III trauma facility operating at Level II capacity
• Document and manage patient records using EPIC electronic health record system
• Float between like units within your skill set as operationally required
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Proficiency with EPIC; first-time travelers considered with at least 1 year of experience and EPIC experience
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for a travel contract
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront at the time of submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-acuity or high-volume emergency department setting
• Familiarity with stroke, cardiac, and trauma patient populations
• Ability to adapt to varied unit environments through floating assignments
