We look forward to hearing from you.SummaryThe Senior Procurement Specialist is the custodian of all pre-award activities related to the purchase of project materials and equipment. The Senior Procurement Specialist is also responsible for managing the bidders' selection, bidding process, evaluation and recommendation, as well as the award process, thereby maximizing efficiencies and minimizing risk related to financial and schedule performance.Key ResponsibilitiesPerforming procurement and expediting tasks to support Hatch EPC and EPCM projectsPrepare Bid documentsIdentify potential suppliersCoordinate with Hatch legal team to negotiate contracts and resolve conflicts with vendors.Conduct and present bid evaluation with commercial and technical analysisPlace orders onto suppliers and expedite purchase ordersPrepare estimates for procurement supportReceive and preapprove suppliers' invoicesUse Hatch Procurement System (iPAS MP) in all phases of procurement and expeditingProperly file all project and general business documentation according to Hatch guidelinesTake leadership role in procurement during large projectsInterfaces with the client to ensure that objectives are achieved, potential problems are identified and preventive or corrective actions are takenParticipating in Vendors Management SystemManage vendors database including all related commercial documents (NDA's, Special Terms and Conditions, Active Contacts, Financial guarantees, etc....)Conduct continuous Vendor Evaluation program based on vendor performance during projectsParticipates in vendor selection strategyIdentifies suitable suppliers relative to regional location and specific technologies requirements globally, review of supplier capabilities and desk top evaluations.GeneralPromotes and maintains a healthy and harmonious work environmentPerforms continuous self-audits to ensure compliance with guidelines and proceduresEnsures efficient and correct usage of Procurement Management Systems and Document Management SystemsQualifications and ExperienceMust be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. lawful permanent resident10+ years in progressive procurement rolesProven procurement experience in nuclear projects.Familiar with NQA-1 and N286 standards.Experience in projects related to the DOD/DOW is an asset.Experience in Design/Supply and EPCM projectsRelated training in Contracts/Legal as well as general project management.Good understanding of procurement terms and conditions and accompanying legal implicationsProficient negotiation skillsExcellent understanding of procurement processes which include both materials and contracts management and corporate governance principlesKnowledge and understanding of quality systems, environmental, health and safety regulations, expediting techniques and Incoterms applicationsExperience and understanding of contracting and purchasing strategiesProject management knowledge with proven managerial skillsExperience in dispute resolution techniques and their applicationsExperience in the administration of construction/service contracts and major equipment purchase ordersExperience in using procurement systems.Engineering diploma is an assetWhy Join Us?Work with great people to make a differenceCollaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutionsTop employerFlexible work environmentLong term career developmentThink globally, work locallyHatch is an Equal Opportunity Employer that considers applicants without regard to age, race, color, national origin, citizenship, religion, creed, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, veteran, or any other protected status.
