Business Intelligence Developer

The BI Developer is a technical role responsible for building and maintaining business intelligence solutions that support internal operations and external client reporting. This role sits at the intersection of data preparation and reporting delivery — querying source systems, maintaining automated pipelines, and developing Power BI dashboards and client-facing reports. The BI Developer works closely with the Manager, Business Intelligence and will collaborate on data infrastructure projects as the team expands its Databricks and Azure platform footprint.Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders and external clients via the company BI portalWrite SQL and Python/pandas scripts to query operational databases and pull data from APIs including SalesforceOwn the production and delivery of ad hoc client reports in Excel and PowerPointMonitor and maintain Databricks notebook jobs, identify failures, and coordinate resolutionSupport the development of automated data pipelines, working toward reducing manual Excel-based reportingMaintain report documentation, data dictionaries, and end user guidesParticipate in BI-related meetings and contribute to project intake and prioritizationCollaborate with the Analyst, Business Intelligence on report QA and distribution workflowsGrow familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and Databricks as the team expands platform useQualifications Required:2 to 4 years of experience in a BI, reporting, or data analyst roleBachelor's degree in a related fieldProficiency in SQL — comfortable querying relational databases independentlyAble to query relational databases (SQL) and transform data with PythonWorking knowledge of Python, particularly pandas for data manipulationExperience building reports and dashboards in Power BIFamiliarity with Excel and PowerPoint for client-facing deliverablesAbility to troubleshoot data issues and pipeline failures with moderate supervisionStrong attention to detail and comfort working with structured dataTravel Required:No. Requires weekly in-office work at our Manhattan, KS headquarters.
