Job Overview
Express Employment in Platteville, WI has partnered with a company to recruit candidates for Dental Assistant positions. They are currently hiring for openings at both their Platteville and Dubuque locations.
Position Summary:
The Dental Assistant supports the dentist during patient exams and procedures while providing quality patient care and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
Job Duties:
Prepare patients and treatment areas for procedures.
Assist the dentist chairside during exams and procedures.
Set up, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
Take dental X-rays and record patient information.
Take medical and dental histories and vital signs.
Prepare dental materials and impressions as needed.
Assist with nitrous oxide and anesthesia procedures.
Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and office safety procedures.
Maintain CPR and required certifications.
Provide professional, friendly, and compassionate patient service.
Perform equipment maintenance and other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Diploma or certificate from an approved dental assisting program
Two years of dental experience preferred
Required Skills and Abilities:
Completion of an approved Radiography Course
Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
Current EKG and anesthesia training or willingness to complete within 1 year
Ability to make critical decisions and use good judgment
Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
