Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $15 - $15 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Vehicle Inspector:

• Communicate in a professional manner with customers (dealers or consumers)
• Resolve customer inquiries in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner; advise management of all complaints or incidents
• Ensure internal and external customers receive prompt, efficient, and courteous attention
• Inspect vehicles for signs of wear, tear, neglect, damage, previous repairs, or structural damage
• Complete vehicle inspections and ensure adherence to the defined program for the customer
• Capture data accurately on a mobile device and work comfortably with software and technology
• Deliver results in a timely manner
• Maintain productivity levels as set forth by management
• Deliver consistent and accurate inspections with a minimal error rate in accordance with reasonable expectations set forth by management
• Collaborate with the Manager and sales team members to address customer needs and provide insights to improve services
• Maintain equipment and tools properly and advise the Manager of any required maintenance or equipment breakdowns
• Ensure vehicles are kept in clean condition, with radios, seats, mirrors, and other convenience items returned to the same position as when the vehicle arrived
• Submit completed condition reports using the appropriate technology provided to complete vehicle inspections
• Complete road tests when required by contract or inspection type
• Stay current on technology updates, new releases, and product developments
• Understand the functionality of and ability to use tools such as paint meters, OBD scanners, and related equipment
• Develop and maintain knowledge and expertise regarding competitor products
• Perform any other duties assigned by the designated Manager

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• One year of automotive experience preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license that meets applicable requirements
• Ability to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes
• Proficiency in computer systems and applications
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to enter data using a handheld device
• Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and with customers and vendors
• Strong customer service skills
• High degree of focus on safety
• Proven ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Background Check and Drug Test Required
